COOLING SYSTEMS TREATMENT

1-Water is used as an industrial coolant because it is readily available and easily handled.

It can carry a relative large quantity of heat per unit of volume and doesn't significantly expand or compress within the temperature ranges normally encountered.

2- Industrial cooling systems lose cooling efficiency due to fouling and corrosion . when cooling systems operate inefficiently, the processes they are serving become inefficient and  product output thereby declines.

In the case of evaporation recirculating cooling systems an effective program of water treatment also allows a greater degree of water conservation than would otherwise be possible.

3- Corrosion is the destruction of materials by interaction with the environment.

4- The formation of scale within a cooling water system is essentially a function of the level of hardness salts in the water and operating conditions within the system.

5- Micro biological fouling of industrial cooling water systems results from the excessive growth and development of three lower forms of plants like algae, fungi and bacteria.

6- The family of chemicals for cooling water systems has been formulated by Abdulkarim to eliminate all these problems through a comprehensive water treatment program.
